How to celebrate July 4th the Catholic way

julyfourthV3.png
On July 4, 1776, a Catholic signed the Declaration of Independence. Charles Carroll of Maryland was committed to this new nation.

And since then, American Catholics have been building. We’ve built churches and schools, hospitals and neighborhoods.

Even when many people believed that a Catholic could never be a true citizen of the United States, we’ve gathered together to do good. In 1882, in the midst of anti-Catholic bias, a parish priest brought Catholic men together to form the Knights of Columbus.

More than 130 years later, Knights continue to lead with faith, protect their families, serve others and defend their values. Last year alone, the brotherhood donated 75 million volunteer hours and $185 million to charity.

This Independence Day, join the Knights and celebrate your heritage as an American Catholic!

Yours truly,
