This Evening . . Seven (7) boys and girls from the Chesterfield Area, ages 9 to 14, were named local champions of the incarnate Word Knights of Columbus Free Throw Championship ("IWKnights") for 2025. the IWKnights in Chesterfield, MO sponsored the local competition at the IW Parish Kent Center and all youth ages 9 to 14 were eligible to participate.
Nine-year-old champions were Vera Shupe in the girls’ bracket and Emmett Winters in the boys’ bracket. Sutton Schneider was the winner of the 10-year-old boys’ division. In the 11-year-olds’ bracket, Emma Augan was the girls’ champion and Burke Judson was the boys’ champion. Twelve-year-old winner in the boys’ divisions was Raymond Winters. Fourteen-year-old champion was Andrew Allen in the boys’ bracket.
A NOTE ABOUT THE TOURNAMENT.........Normally, One boy and one girl in each age group advances to the district level of the Knights of Columbus Free-Throw Tournament. Due to circumstances beyond our control (a certain Winter Storm on January 5th & 6th that shall remain absolutely nameless), no winners will be advancing to the district level, etc. of the Championship in 2025 only.
