Did you know this about the IW Knights of Columbus?
This Friday (2/9), we begin our Lenten Series – a seven (7) week run of Friday events. This week we present our pre-Lenten Fat Friday – the Mardi Gras party. It is a Cajun dinner, a dance with live music by Revolution along with mask and costume contests.
The dinner is a Cajun Feast – jumbo shrimp and sausage boiled in Cajun spices along with potatoes and corn; seafood gumbo (shrimp and cod); and, a Cajun choice of Jambalaya or beans and rice with shrimp. The dessert selections are either: bread pudding, apple cobbler or chocolate chip cookies. The tickets are $30.00 each and include 2 tokens for beer or wine. See the flyer, elsewhere in this bulletin, for directions about where to purchase the tickets on-line or via a check in the parish office during weekdays between 8AM to 5PM.
The doors open to the Kent Center at Incarnate Word parish at 6PM and we begin serving dinner at 6:45PM. Revolution – the band – will play from 8 to 10PM.
The net proceeds of this event go to beneficiaries of our IW Knights council 9981 Charitable fund. This year our feature beneficiary is the Knights of Columbus Developmental Center at SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital.
Please join us on Friday evening, February 9th and bring some friends and help us support area charities.
