Celebrating the 100th Aniversary of Fatima

Hi Ladies and Brother Knights,

Three events are available to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of Mary’s last appearance (Oct 13, 1917) to the 3 shephard children in Fatima.  On that date, the Miracle of the Sun occurred to prove that the apparations were real.  It was witnessed by tens of thousands of believers and non-believers alike.  The sun “danced” in the sky.  To commemorate the anniversary, you are invited to participate in one or more of the following events.  Please also refer to the attached docs with all the details for these events.

Oct 13, 6:30 pm in the school library.  Marian Consecration Prayer – If you are just completeing the 33 Days to Morning Glory Retreat, or if you have previously completed the retreat and you want to renew your consecration, join us to view the Fr. Gailtey’s final 30 minute retreat video which reviews and synthesizes the 33 day retreat.  We will then pray Fr. Gaitley’s suggested Consecration Prayer and then receiving a blessing from Fr. Hogan.

Oct 13, 7 pm (approximately) in the school library.  After the Consecration Prayer and Blessing, ALL parishioners, friends and family are invited to gather in the school library to honor Mother Mary’s request to pray the Rosary.  We will pray all of the Mysteries of the Rosary.  This will be accompanied and enhanced by a slide show with pictures and images from the Holy Land associated with each of the mysteries.

Oct 14, noon at Faust Park near the Butterfly House.  Fatima Public Square Rosary Crusade.  Please come to pray the Rosary.  Come early and bring lawn chairs or blankets, if you like.  Please see the below pdf doc with more details and 10 reasons to pray a public square Rosary.

Please forward this email to friends, family and faith groups.  Let’s honor Our Lady of Fatima’s request that we pray to Rosay.
